Welcome to Taiwan! I’m so excited to share with you my personal guide to help you navigate your way from Taoyuan International Airport to Taipei and the Taipei International Food Show.
First things first, let’s talk about getting to Taipei from the airport. You have two options: the Taiwan High Speed Rail (THSR) or Taiwan Railways Administration (TRA). Both will get you to Taipei Station in about 30-40 minutes, but I personally recommend the THSR. It’s faster and more comfortable, though it is a bit more expensive. To take the THSR, simply take the airport shuttle bus to THSR Taoyuan Station. The shuttle runs every 15-20 minutes and takes about 35 minutes.
When you arrive at THSR Taoyuan Station, purchase your ticket from one of the ticket machines or at the ticket counter. You can choose between a one-way or round-trip ticket and different seating classes. Once you have your ticket, proceed to the platform and board the THSR train. Be sure to check the departure board for the correct platform and train departure time.
The trip from Taoyuan to Taipei takes approximately 35 minutes on the THSR train. The trains are modern and comfortable, with free Wi-Fi and power outlets. Once you arrive at Taipei Station, follow the signs to the exit. From here you can take a taxi or public transportation to your destination. Remember to keep your ticket with you as you will need it to exit the station. If you purchased a round-trip ticket, keep it safe as you will need it for your return trip.
Once you arrive at Taipei Station, you can take the Taipei MRT (mass rapid transit) to the Taipei International Convention Center (TICC), where the Show is being held. The closest MRT station is Taipei City Hall, which is just a short walk from TICC. Alternatively, you can also take a taxi or Grab/Uber from Taipei Station to TICC. Once you arrive at TICC, you can register for the Show and explore the various booths and exhibits.
Now, let’s talk about the Taipei International Food Show: Are you ready for a taste explosion? The Taipei International Food Show is back and it’s bringing together the most delicious and innovative food products from around the world. From mouth-watering ingredients to state-of-the-art packaging and equipment, this show is a food lover’s paradise. Don’t miss out on the chance to discover new flavors and trends that will take your culinary creations to the next level.
When you’re not at the Show, be sure to check out some of Taipei’s other popular attractions such as Taipei 101, Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, and the National Palace Museum. And of course, don’t forget to try out the local food at night markets like Shilin Night Market or Raohe Street Night Market for a variety of delicious street food.
